Danny & his wife Norma were married at the Caney Christian Church 6/3/1973, & moved to Caney at that time after being raised in the Niotaze area. They have one son Daniel & he & his wife & children live in Fort Collins, Colorado. Danny has been in banking for almost 46 years & presently works for Community National Bank & Trust of Caney. Danny & Norma love Caney & desire to help Caney in any way possible. Danny & Norma's goal is for Caney to be a Community of Vitality

KIM BRIGHT

Kim was born and raised in Caney, graduating from Caney Valley High School in 1978. She moved to Pittsburg, KS where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Kim then moved to Joplin, MO where she lived and worked while raising her two sons. She moved back to Caney in 2012 and works at Ascension Jane Phillips in Bartlesville, OK as the Nurse Manager over the Critical Care Unit and the Cardiovascular floor. Kim is on the Board of Directors of the American Legion Auxiliary and serves as the Chaplain. She is President of the Board of Directors for the Caney Valley Agape Network. She attends the Amazing Grace Community Church in Caney. Her involvement in the community exhibits her heart for the betterment of Caney. Kim enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and caring for the animals that she loves.

CAROLYN SHAW

Carolyn Shaw was born and raised in Caney. She and her husband Criss, chose to live and raise their two children, Nathan & Cari here. Carolyn is office manager at Caney Family Dental. She has worked in the local dental office for 40 years. Since their children are raised, Carolyn has more time to give back to the community which she cares so much about. In addition to CCBG, Carolyn is also very active in the Sacred Heat Catholic Church here in Caney and Caney American Legion Auxillary. Carolyn & Criss enjoy spending time traveling to visit their children and grandchildren.

DEBBIE WOOD
MEMBER OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Debbie Wood was born and raised in Caney. She and her husband John, have been married for 37 years and have 3 sons which still live in Caney, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Debbie is the Prepress Manager at KOPCO and has been there for 40 years. In addition to CCBG. Debbie is the Director of Childrens Ministries at Cornerstone Church of Caney, also is the Secretary for the Cornerstone Womens Ministries. In addition she is the Secretary for the Friends of the Library in Caney. She also holds a position on the Caney City Council. Debbie loves her hometown and wants to see it thrive.

TRINA REED

Trina and her husband, Sam, have four children, two dachshunds, three grandbabies, and three grand fur babies. She graduated from Caney Valley High School and has been a Caneyite for approximately 30 years. She earned her Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She loves spending time with her family, cuddling with her two and four-legged grandbabies, fishing, re-purposing stuff, crafting, and dabbling in art. She is an active member of the Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian church in Bartlesville. She lives with her husband in Caney and she is very passionate about seeing Caney prosper and grow. She is also a Pitt State, Newman University, and KU Mom...Go Gorillas and Rockchalk!!!

MARILYN NELSON

Marilyn Nelson was born in Southeast Kansas and has been living in the Caney area with her husband Don for the past 30 years. She earned her Masters in Business Administration (Accounting) from Pittsburg State University in 1982. During her time in Caney, she has been active in the Caney United Methodist Church. Additionally, she has served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader, High School Scholars Bowl coach, and Debate/Forensics coach. She currently works as an accountant at North Star Metal Works. In her free time, she loves working on the family farm and spending time with her three children Sarah, Craig, and Ryan (all graduates of Caney Valley High School). She plans to continue writing community based articles for all to enjoy.
